Kefka may have overlooked his attempt to trip up Azure but his thought was in order to get the better reach for Azure's underbelly, he had to let loose of his stabilizing leg in order to do so. Azure took the point of weakness immediately and the two of them went splashing down into the water (wet T-shirt party).

Azure would come at Kefka's muzzle and though Kefka would typically want to latch on at the chin, he was concerned that would cause him a lot more harm with Azure's large saber canines. Without having much area to move, Azure would take hold of Kefka's muzzle, silencing him if you will. As he felt Azure lifting his back legs and going to rip apart at his underbelly, Kefka went to pull his own back legs in to keep his genitals safe, as well as his tail being tucked in as well. He hoped he would be able to shield himself long enough to turn the battle around. Kefka also went to throw his front paws up at azure's chest and throat area in a "punching" fashion, hoping that if anything he could pull enough strength to push Azure away or hit his windpipe in a way to knock the wind out of him.
