cross my heart

She should have told him when she’d dreamed it, as Chimera stood up she flinched lightly. From that moment on every dream she had of him would be confessed. She closed her eyes tightly as she waited for her bigger brother to bite her, but it never came as he settled into the sand. She’d get a pass for now, but likely only because he was too sore to open his mouth properly. Not that the tiny princess would dream of saying the words.
The tiny girl would take the blame from him, maybe she had seen the future. If she could predict events upcoming.. maybe she could gain her graces from Chimera. He gave her a one word answer to her offer, but she was happy to oblige either way. She didn’t have what she needed on paw, but her eyes spied a bit of what she needed in the grasses before the beach. With an obvious crouch Siren moved out of Chimera’s way and made her way to dig the wild garlic from the grass. She hadn’t mentioned the scent, but she liked it anyway.
Siren returned with her little garlics. Squishing the tiny cloves between her toes Siren went to apply the sticky, savory sweet smelling substance to Chimera’s stings.
