The scent of peppermint filled the air right as his blue and lavender gaze caught sight of that pristine moonlit form. His eyes widened slightly as his drunk self couldn’t quite stop from staring at her approach. The way her hips swayed and her smile caught the light made his stomach drop out. In a good way. He also felt the butterflies interrupt his now runaway belly. His heart joined the party as she spoke, and the muscle beat erratically in his chest as a huge drunken grin took over his features. He would have grinned just slightly more politely had the alcohol not been running through his veins, but he couldn’t hide his pleasure at elise finding her way into his presence again.

”Fate is on my side once more.” He replied warmly as he let his gaze meet hers. She had a knack for being able to make him blush, despite how well they knew each other physically he still felt his cheeks flush as she complimented him freely. ”I’m sure I can’t compare to your beauty.” He returned with an amused smirk as he let her lower herself close beside him. The warmth of her very nearly took his breath away as she pressed against him affectionately. Iroh closed his eyes blissfully and let his mind become consumed with the woman beside him.

Though he wanted to focus fully on how close she was Iroh wouldn’t be himself if he didn’t offer her a drink. ”Tea for my Lady?” He chuckled to himself lightly as he offered her the second bowl and poured a bit of his chosen bottle of intoxicant in as well. He offered her the bowl as he prepared his own and leaned more heavily against her. The need to be close to her was very real. He’d keep his wits about him for the most part, and would at least wait for her to drink her tea before things got more exciting between them.

He debated internally how to keep up a little small talk, should he ask her how she was enjoying the party? Iroh hadn’t missed the scent of another on her, but it was also easy to ignore with her lovely presence. Not that he’d kept himself celibate since the lats they saw each other. ”You do look lovely,” he’d remind her again. ”I hope you’ve been well since our last tea party.” With an amused grin he couldn’t help himself and offered her a sweet kiss to her cheek.
