Blue was of course ignored, he didn’t like the lemur before it had messed with his tail and after that any chance was all over. Naiche nodded as she spoke of how Sirius had trained her, hadn’t that been the first lesson Sirius had given him? A spar with him and then they’d gone out hunting coyotes together. Actually, he needed to ask Sirius for a spar again later, both to see if he could do any better against him now and to show off how he had improved.
Tamsyn made it sound easy enough and really did mirror things he had already experienced here. The group lesson from Tamsyn, the observation from Resin along with critiquing afterward. Naiche was silent and had a quiet expression to him, his mind working through things where some part of it was normally focused on his other senses of the area around him. Her words and his soaking in the meaning were currently his priorities. Up to this point Naiche had given his pointers through snappy lectures, but that was only to the cowards which seemed totally different to those actually desiring to be warriors. Sometimes rougher motivation was required. That much seemed totally obvious. “That sounds easy enough I imagine.” It really did, let them fight it out, and tell them when they made dumb mistakes and what to do for improving. He could try to copy Tamsyn, Sirius, and Resin. They had always been friendly in their critiquing, maybe that was because of his willingness though.
“Sirius wants all the wolves to know the basics of fighting right? What about the cowards who seem to lack interest in it? Is there a time limit until they are thrown out if they refuse to learn?” In Naiche’s mind they should certainly be thrown out, why keep those who could not defend the pack. “Why do we let them in before they have the ability? I know there has to be a reason but what is it? Is it a temporary agreement that they have a set period of time to start training?” He hadn’t thought of it before but Naiche imagined that much might make some sense. “It would be harder to train those who don’t wish to improve themselves.” Thus the use of force, but this was a moment for asking questions not giving the answer he had come up with.
Pan had seemed to give a small smile and waved at Blue, but he still didn’t bother talking. Naiche really liked the fact he’d ended up with something that didn’t chatter as Blue did.
