This was not where he’d seen the night going, he’d resigned himself once to keeping his distance from her, doing it again after giving into temptation was rough. Thankfully he was drunk and it wouldn’t weigh on him too heavily, there were more than enough pretty little women wandering the beach. Surely he could share some tea with one. Aryn was just as surprised as he was, but even after her sultry words she didn’t attempt to go against Eli’s wishes.
Iroh did not stand up to greet his alpha, but tried to remain as regal as possible for the position that he had been found in. It was hard to be upset at Eli, but he did kind of wish the alpha had minded his own business. He hid a chuckle as Aryn introduced them and returned to Eligos’s side. Iroh tried to just sink back into the shadows of the small campfire but as Eli spoke, somewhat strained, Iroh realized he was supposed to be heeding his words as well.
Though he was loathe to admit it, Eligos’s words jarred him. No, the last thing he wanted was to leave Aryn with a random litter of puppies because they couldn’t keep their paws off each other. He was a little too drunk to realize the length of those repercussions, but he knew he didn’t want anyone to be calling him ‘dad’ anytime soon. It was a sobering thought, and he realized quickly he was ready for another drink after all that.
He interjected while subtly trying to get the both of them away from his slice of beach. He was more than ready to forget about Aryn and his alpha for the rest of the evening. He wouldn’t be forgetting Eli’s words however. ”I’ll see you around, Eligos.” Though it was hard Iroh met his cousin’s red gaze in silent promise to heed his words.
