Svala settled at the edge of the estuary where she got a good fire going. It was a pleasant day, if a bit hot and muggy. She did enjoy listening to the birds though so that made the weather more bearable. Svala pulled out a bundle of dandelions from her deer hide sack as well as a small bottle of white wine for a tincture she would make out of the tops of the dandelion. She decided she may as well make a decoction of the sliced root while she was at it. Using her teeth, she carefully separated the dandelion foliage from the root. She worked swiftly, as she used her fangs to sever each plant she divided the tops and the bottoms into two equal piles. Around her the birds were singing sweetly and she paused a moment to take in the song as well as to keep an eye on the weather. So far it was clear and sunny though she could see something of a haze on the horizon.
