Party fun

Bait watched his quarry fly off again, and where they landed only a short distance away. The birds were outright mocking him, well he’d catch all of em and play a game of feather collecting. How much of the beach would be covered with feathers if he plucked them all?
He was just planning to go again when he heard the snake. When had it arrived? No one could get past Bait’s senses! Ok, maybe they were a tad out-of-whack. That drink was excellent and was great for a fun time but seemed to have some effect on his senses.
Bait cocked his head to one side considering the creature. Pretty damn good length there. It could be intimidating to have a snake that large near him. Did that thing eat something his size? Quite possibly. Oh well, Bait was both drunk and never much of one to be bothered with minor details such as dangerous encounters.
“yah, but ya know. One of these might b’ drunk also. Jus gotta figure out..” Bait slowed his talking then grinned broadly, “that’s it! Just gotta share the drink with the birds. Bet easier to hunt if the birdz drunk too!” Bait grinned at the snake he’d never before met as if they’d always been great friends, “Whatcha thin’?”
