Descending in the Night

Tamsyn really didn't carry any sort of expectation for where they would end up next as she continued to follow Aranea out of the desert. She'd quickly learned from the exploration she had done through the north with Natha that this continent would always continue to surprise her with the unexpected and unusual territories it contained. This certainly was no exception. As they escaped the barren, sandy dunes of the desert, they crossed into a surprisingly lush and vibrant section of land. It was a fairly steep hill to get down into what was essentially a very over grown hole, but once they got down to the section that opened up into a cavern of sorts, it was actually quite magical. It was hard to see out into the land around them from down here so it really gave them a sense of descending into another world. She nodded in agreement to being able to find shelter here for the night and to finding some vegetation to sleep on and keep warm. "Seems like a plan to me!" She peeked into the cavern ahead of them and mentioned, "Maybe we could take a quick peek in there first? Or should we wait till morning when we have more light to see by?" She couldn't really tell how much sunlight would actually reach into it with how deep the cavern seemed to go, but it would certainly be a bit brighter than it was now in the dead of night. |
