Descending in the Night

At the point that Aranea gave of making sure the cave wasn't hiding other wolves or predators, Tamsyn nodded in agreement. It was a very valid point and making sure they were alone in the cave would certainly help her sleep easier. "Lets do a bit of exploring then," she said as she looked over to her traveling companion, giving her a grin. She didn't really think about how her dark coat would blend into the darkness with just the flash of her teeth and the bright color of her eyes to help distinguish her from the shadows since she was able to see Aranea fairly well with her lighter fur. Tam forged the path for them, making her way deeper into the cave system.

She made sure to keep toward the right side of the cave as they made their way deeper into the darkness so it would be easier to find their way back out. It was very quiet in the caves with just the occasional dip of water somewhere in the distance and the flutter of what she thought was bat wings to break up the silence. Out of curiosity, she followed the sound of the water till they eventually reached an underground pool. She approached the edge of it curiously, her eyes scanning over the shadowed silhouettes of the stalagmites and stalagmites that surrounded the pool and dotted the surface of the water. The low light gave them a slightly creepy effect, even though she logically knew they were just jutting pieces of rock formed by the steady dripping of the water. It didn't keep them from looking like creepy, shadowy figures.
