Naiche should ask Natha to help him more in fighting off predators! Her attack was perfect against the giant bird! When the bird was suddenly flattened on the ground, the threat of Talons gone Naiche found his job far easier. Naiche lunged in, snapping for the neck and he tasted blood but then the head came back around targeting Naiche’s head, the wolf had to jerk his own head away. The bird didn’t have teeth but no doubt it could put plenty of pressure into its bite.

He saw the wings spreading for taking off as well and decided it was time to make sure it had no chance. Instead of going for an in and out attack and the bird’s neck again he jumped to one side and bit at the top portion of one of the bird’s wing, then backing out even as he saw the birds fighting to get it’s talon’s free from Natha’s weight. Naiche figured if he had managed to break a bone in the bird’s wing, or at least do enough damage it shouldn’t be able to fly. A downed bird was a dead one.
