Descending in the Night
Tamsyn

Aranea wouldn't hesitate to follow as Tamsyn pushed on, her mind and body fully alert in case something were to turn south. Not from the stranger, but Aranea suspected this was a good place for a bear or cougar to hide during the night if they pleased. Not many found their way out here in the west especially through the desert but this would be an ideal location if there were any. Aranea walked with a low head, creeping behind her larger companion. She would come at ease as they approached the pool of water, branching off and looking up at the slight drip from moisture falling down from the spiked stones. The vegetation seemed to have died out deep inside the cave which was well expected due to the lack of light. But Aranea didn't feel at all cold from the desert night outside and there was no draft that led through the tunnels. She walked around a small radius of the pool, smelling the stale scents of other creatures that had laid here whether it was day or night. She could faintly sense the presence of other pools in the distance. "Think this is good enough?" She questioned, not the most comfortable place to lay down and it reminded her of her few days in Dauntless, the most dreadful days that was. But she certainly couldn't just rush out of the caves and go crying back to Lirim. Not that she was that much of a sissy, just that the memories of Tyranis' pack were that hurtful to her. "Speech" |
