Chrystelle

Slowly, Chrys had begun to wander farther and farther from the den as she began to regain her strength. With the amount of time she had been sick she understood that she had to be patient with herself, but she continued to push herself more and more purely just from being happy that she was finally getting better. She took laps through the Sparse Pines before coming back to the den to rest for a while, but with each trip out into the pack's lands she was able to go a little farther. It felt like most of her first year had been spent in the den, barely able to stand, and now that she was finally able to get her paws under her she was itching to cover as much ground as possible. She wanted to get better as soon as possible so her mother wouldn't worry... but it was very slow moving.
The monochrome young woman made her way back to where her mother was resting and her tail wagged gently behind her. "I went all the way to the border this time," she reported proudly before settling onto her stomach near her mother, giving her a smile and holding back the tired sigh that threatened to escape her. She logically understood that their mother might not be around for much longer, but accepting that emotionally was another story. She had spent a lot of time around her mother over the time that she had been sick from a combination of Avalon taking care of her so much and from her mother having to slow down and stay in the den more as well so not having her around was going to be a stark change. She affectionately bumped her mother's cheek with her nose, her ears flicking at the thought of the inevitable future they faced.
