Seizing hold of one side of the cut that had just been made, Star started to carefully pull the flesh back from the meat. Working carefully, Star chewed around the head and then moved to the feet. They didn't really plan to eat the feet and they were too small to harvest sinew from. Some wolves thought of them as lucky but Star wasn't the superstitious type. Chewing on one foot he worked his jaws through the bones and flesh then moved on to the other three feet until the rabbit was footless. The neck part was tricky. Star needed to cut a seam up the inside of each leg and connect it to where they'd started peeling the flesh off the rabbit's belly. Star chewed and worked along the the hind legs before pausing to wolf down a few big bites of belly meat.
