Sedna rolled her eyes at Hanako’s explanation. She supposed if anyone was likely to accidentally doze off in full sun at the beach it would be this one. She was fond of the younger wolf but sometimes, she had to wonder if the girl had ever needed to think for herself before coming here, or if she had other people fawning over and directing her in every action she took. She clicked her tongue and shook her head as she broke some leaves off the aloe plant, watching Otis waddle back on three paws with a small bowl of honey, the waxy comb standing out as the tasty sticky stuff fell away. "I should make it hurt," she started off like a mother scolding a small child, "maybe then yer’d remember... But no, it shouldn’." She reassured the other wolf with a lopsided grin.
She dropped the stems in another bowl and Otis picked up a stone and began to crush the sticky insides out of the leaves. She sprinkled some periwinkle into the mixture for good measure, (not that she expected infection, but it couldn’t do any harm) nodding to the opossum when it was mixed to her liking he then moved onto separating the wax from the honey. That one would take a bit more work, but it wouldn’t hurt for them to get started now. "Righto, dip yer nose in this fer now. We’ll make up somethin’ ter stop it from burnin’ again, but it’ll take us a while ter find th’ white rocks ter grind down." She wasn’t even sure they existed here, but it couldn’t hurt to go looking. Maybe a trader would have some she could barter for?
