Svala pulled out two ceramic bowls, one for the tincture and one for the decoction. In the first bowl she put in the tops of the dandelions. Picking up a deer fibula in her jaws she carefully mashed the fresh herb so that it would release more of its juices into the tincture.
For the decoction Svala took a bone knife in her jaws. Balancing one of her paws on either side of the dandelion root she worked to carefully cut the root into slices. She worked through the roots she had until she was satisfied. Placing her knife to the side, Svala scooped the sliced dandelion roots into the other bowl.
Her head jerked up as someone spoke. She'd been so engrossed in what she was doing she hadn't heard them approach. She smiled politely. "Oh, you mean these dandelion's? I have as many as I need for now. I'm thinking of putting on some chamomile tea if you'd like to join me."
