The absence of her daughter and grand daughter certainly hadn't gone unnoticed - at least not by her. She was more in tune and observant than some might expect her to be and she had been keeping a fairly close eye on her deteriorating daughter. She tried to help when she could - making sure that Philomena had company as much as she would allow and trying to get her to talk about what was going on in her head whenever possible. It felt like Philomena had shut them all out and she just felt helpless and unsure of what to do. When she woke up a couple of days prior and realized that Philomena and Meme were both gone she began to fear the worst. She and Nausicaa searched all throughout Auster for them both - Nausicaa searching far wider than she felt physically capable of - but the trails always seemed to end somewhere and left them without something to follow. A hint of Meme's scent led them up to the land bridge to Boreas and they had planned on going further north to look for her, but Roza had decided to hang back near the falls just in case her grand daughter came back here for any reason.

Nausicaa had left early that morning on one last search of Auster with the plan of going up into Boreas if she came up empty handed which left Roza alone and uneasy near the den she had kept by the falls. Her son's voice surprised her, but as soon as she heard him she came rushing out to greet him and gave a heavy sigh of relief when her eyes landed on Memento. "There you are," she told her youngest grand daughter with that obvious relief in her tone and a smile on her lips. She pulled Meme into a tight embrace before taking a step back to look at Ulric. She hadn't seen him since the fight he had gotten into with Philomena and she frowned when she saw the heavy scar that cut across his cheek. It reminded her too much of the one she wore across her own face and it felt like an eerie repetition of history.

That wasn't the most pressing matter at hand though as she looked around and peered behind them to see if Philomena was following behind. Her mind quickly put two and two together and she looked to her son and grand daughter with a certain, obvious sadness. "She left, didn't she?"
