Back to the Beach

The Obsidian Beach looked much different in the day than it had at night. In some ways it was almost blinding. The sun glinted off the sand, making him squint until a cloud drifted in front of it. He eyed the cloud for a moment but it wasn't much to worry about, at least for now. It was a thin, wispy cloud that stretched against the sky.
Shilah padded down to the shoreline, pulling his map out once more to mark the edge of the ocean, drawing a few wavy lines for the water. Bottles and bowls and various remnants of the party remain strewn here and there but as far as he could tell no one else was around.
