Please Don't Hate Me

Darya really didn't leave the flock much anymore. When once she might have at least gone out and tried to find Jupiter or felt the need to try and earn her keep now it was the only thing keeping her from totally crumbling apart. Having to look after the pack's herd gave her something to focus on that wasn't how totally and utterly miserable she was, and if she wasn't focusing on that then she was at least up and functioning. Not that had stopped her from having more than a few breakdowns in the days since the party, and especially since the wedding. So she tried to keep her mind on simple flock related tasks, on keeping track of where the sheep and goats had gone, on counting them over and over again. The counting especially helped, it was something she could do repeatedly through the day and required all her mental capacity. Darya was looking even less kept than she had at the wedding, her once well-muscled frame was now turning somewhat meager, though she still stood at a towering height and could easily look imposing anyone who knew her would be able to tell she'd lost some significant weight... and quickly. As usual hay had managed to weave it's way into her fur, but some stalks were visibly older than others now, she clearly hadn't cared enough to clean herself in some days. All in all, she was wearing the fact she'd recently fallen into depression quite plainly. Hellfire gaze swept over the sheep, once more turning to counting to distract herself from the pang of heartache in her chest. This time though she saw more than the sheep, an unknown form moving towards them. Darya's usual anxiety flared then, her limbs locking as she realized the stranger was moving towards her. Then because she'd stopped for a second, the tears she was constantly fighting back broke free of her fragile control. So it was she would be found there, standing among Fireside's sheep and goats, frozen in place, sobbing and looking very much not okay. "Говорить" |
