Heard It Through The Grapevine

If the pigs were digging at the trunks of the trees, tearing up the roots of the willows, it wouldn't be long before the woods would die and they'd lose an important buffer between them and other packs. Not to mention these were the woods that housed ample amounts of predator and prey alike for training and hunting. They needed these woods alive and flourishing to aid in their training and to keep their cache full of both supplies and food. Besides, he was pretty sure Aslatiel enjoyed hanging out in these woods more than the rest of them and he wouldn't be very happy if some rotten pigs destroyed it.
They moved along until the pigs were close enough to hear and he listened to her words about leaving the prey for the others to scatter. Magnus wasn't so sure that they would leave with the carnage of their kind spread around. They were omnivores and known to eat anything that was dead. Magnus was almost certain it would bring more into the area than chase them off, but he'd never directly dealt with the animals. Instead, he decided she likely knew more than him and gave her a nod before she bolted off to hunt one for herself. Magnus wasn't too far behind, slinking through some shrubs to target one of the pigs and launch when it was least expecting.
He wasn't as fast or as armed as the girl, but he was stronger with his size on his side. Jaws reaching for a heel as the pig squealed and ran, Magnus' teeth grazed the hock of the animal and tore through the skin enough to cause a limp as the hog kept running for it's life.
