Dark paws carried the girl to the north. She had picked up the trail of the black and white boy that she'd met during the last hunt and they were traveling together. She and Beat had made some good headway on their journey. Caribou was the intent. As they moved along, she picked up another trail. Lowering her nose, she came to the realization that Star, Ulfr and his mother had gone this way as well. Recently too. "If we hurry, we can catch them!"

By the time they arrived, Star and Ulfr were already out and moving towards the herd. Aslatiel put a kick in her step and raced out to meet them. As usual, she dropped into hunting mode, spacing out from them so they could get a wider spread to separate the herd.
