"Beat Destruction"

Beat had met up with Aslatiel and she had persuaded him to come hunting with her. Really, she didn't have to do a lot of persuading. The young wolf was a pushover when it came to pretty ladies. She could have asked him to jump off a cliff with her and he would have had a hard time saying no.

The small lady brought Beat from his thoughts, mentioning the pair that they had hunted with before. As she sped up, so did he. Taking his cue from the others as they came into view, the monochromatic boy took the far point. The herd saw them and began to filter slowly forward. It wasn't until the quartet of canines began to run at them that the ungulates really kicked it into high gear and went tearing away.
