Laying Low in the Shadows {Alena}

It seemed that Alena didn't even have to voice her idea or convince him of it. Dempsey did that on his own. She listened to his offer with interest. It seemed like a fair, if not perfect, deal to her. Her pups got their father figure and in return all she had to provide for him was herself? There was no downside it seemed. It did mean that she might have more pups in the future, but was that really so bad? Being pregnant had not been as awful as she had imagined and in a weird way she was actually looking forward to meeting the pups that were slowly growing inside her.

Alena was curious, however, what would make a brute offer something like this when he had only just met her. She knew she was a good actress, but there had to be something more behind it. A brute wouldn't simply offer to tie himself down, more or less, to a fea having only just met her. Really all he knew about her was her name and the fact that she's pregnant thanks to a one time fling. Curiosity showed in her eyes as she asked, "Really? I mean, I like the idea of it, but you hardly know me and I hardly know you. What would make you want to help a complete stranger like this?"
