His muzzle split into a grin at her words. He said it, of course, to needle her. Now that he knew her better, and valued her opinion. Teasing her came with the programme, and it was his honour and privilege to do so.
Uck, the claws. He had tried to swipe at the right angle to avoid them, but she was quick and dexterous. He felt the bite of those claws in his paw as she foiled his swipe. He tried to change it into shoving his elbow into her throat. Both to defensively dislodge her claws, and offensively hurt her.
She dodged his face attack just as efficiently. He turned his own head into her attack, jaws parted wide. Almost like inviting a kiss, hoping her attack still landed, and he could bite down on her muzzle. Kiss indeed.
