They Said It Gets Easier But They Lied

He had been keeping tags on his mother though knowing if she decided to run he'd be able to find her and he knew she knew this. She spent most of her time at Firefly Lake and Kefka would provide meals for her. She had been awfully distant and downcast lately, not that it wasn't to be expected. He hadn't hurt her since the night of his attack but the only reason he was keeping her around was to toy with her. He felt she needed at least the amount of punishment equal to his kidnapping and imprisonment by her. And he would carry it out as long as he saw fit.

He had recently sensed the change of her scent but wasn't aware as to reason of the change, and he found no worry in it either. She was getting old and he assumed that physically and hormonally her body was changing. She wouldn't have much of a life after his attack but still he wanted her to suffer. And little did he know, that she already in fact was.

He followed her scent to the cliffs, though not showing much surprise as he saw her lingering over the edge. He knew she didn't have the mentality to jump, and he felt anything he said wouldn't cause her to do so. He knew she was scared and wouldn't take her own life. She'd much rather someone tear her apart than kill herself. "No need to put on a show." He stood a few feet from her backside, his usual menacing grin across his maw and he almost dared her with his eyes to jump.
