Sirius wanted all of the pack to meet his children. They were still too little to take out of the den, or to be overwhelmed with too many visitors. Instead, he opened the door and gave an open invitation for people to pop in through the day and meet them while they were under his care. He didn’t want to overwhelm Zee with visitors, she was still exhausted from the birthing, and feeding them. But the Warlord certainly pulled his weight on babysitting duties. Trusting those in the Reaper Challenge to do the bulk of the border patrols well the pups were still so tiny.

With Zee asleep in the room next door, and the pups quietly making mischief, biting his paws, pulling his tail, and trying to climb to places they shouldn’t be, he waited to see if anyone dropped in to say hello.
