His teeth made contact against her leg, but it wasn't enough to grab hold or hinder her much. Of course he wasn't trying to injure the student, but he did need to test her abilities and one of those had to be how they fought with pain. At least his teeth had managed to scrape and draw some blood, though. The minor pain from the injury didn't seem to slow her down and she was quick to reach over his back and aim for a place he could hardly protect. His scruff had been raised from the excitement of the spar, but besides that hardly any defense could protect his back.

Teeth scraped against his flesh as he felt the fur moisten in her mouth, but thankfully it wasn't much to hurt. Too much movement on his end however and fur would be ripped from his back and that would hurt. He had to be careful to not move too much to cause that to happen. Besides, having her stuck to him in such a way would give him the advantage in knocking her down, with her weight placed differently than what was natural. Being stuck in such a way gave him a limited option for fighting back however. Too much pulling to lower his head and go for the tender underside would result in hair pulling, but he could likely easily reach for the same hold she had on him. With a little extra effort, Magnus lowered a bit before rising up, hopefully knocking her loose if her grip was loose enough to allow her jaw to slam into his shoulders at the motion, and reached to grab hold of the same place she had him by.
