Ulric found his way back to the dens where the pack resided at the top of Sunset Falls with a prairie chicken dangling from his jaws. He was still trying to find something that would sit well in his poor fiancé's stomach. She hadn't been feeling well for a while now on and off, but when he knew something was really off was when he brought her pheasant since he knew that was her favorite. The fact that pheasant wasn't even appetizing to her really got him worried. It became a personal mission to find something she would eat and he had gone far and wide to try and find something that would suit her. The more time went by that she continued to be sick the more he worried that something was seriously wrong. It was just now getting into the afternoon when he returned since he had spent the early morning doing a patrol around the pack's borders and had then gone out to the plains in search of something new for her to try. He wasn't sure how much difference there was between the meat of a pheasant and the meat of a chicken, but he felt certain that it was worth a shot. He approached their den even though he wasn't sure if she would be there or off doing something else, but he figured that at least he could leave it here for her to eat later. To his surprise, as he got closer, he found Azariah waiting by the den and he trotted over to where she was sitting. She had an odd expression that he didn't really know how to interpret, but he tried not to jump to any conclusions before she could tell him what was going on. Once he had placed the chicken near her he gave her a smile and leaned in to place a tender lick on her cheek. "How are you feeling today, love?" |
