Svala stared in surprise as the woman stated that dandelions didn't grow in her homeland. "Really? In these parts they're often considered weeds. They'll grow most everywhere except the tundra and deserts." The woman went on to introduce herself and explain that she was from different lands. "It's a pleasure to meet you Elizabeth. My name is Svala." Svala picked up the bottle of wine and uncorked it with her teeth. Setting the cork aside, she carefully poured a little of the wine into the bowl for the tincture and pushed it toward the fire to heat up.
She set the wine down then took her water skin and poured some over the roots for the dandelion decoction. She scooted the bowl close to the fire to heat up as well and settled down to keep an eye on her mixtures. "I'm making a tincture of wine for the tops and a decoction of the root. Dandelion is good to stimulate digestion and the appetite. I've also heard it can help with external bruising. I haven't tested it myself but I'm bound to trip on something eventually." She chuckled.
