Hyacinth really, really needed to stop letting himself get lost. Although he was significantly less worried about it in this forest than when he'd gotten himself lost in the swamp. So while he absolutely wasn't sure exactly how to get out he wasn't in as much of a rush. Instead meandering around the trunks and cautiously sniffing at the bark as he passed, though he was pretty sure his scent had gotten all over half the forest at this point, making it impossible to tell if he'd gone in circles or the forest was just much faster than he'd initially assumed. Finally, though he did catch a new scent, that at least was a good omen, and the young man adjusted his course, hoping at least that he'd be saved from a slow death from boredom. An older man came into view and Hyacinth slowed, certain he stuck out like a sore thumb, but for once in his life letting someone else taking the lead on their contact, simply making a friendly chuffing noise as he slowed to a stop.
