It was difficult to admit defeat, to know you'd been bested. However, much to Venom's credit-empress or not- she was humble and took it in her stride. Regardless of what she thought it was a good look on her, the fact she didn't throw a tantrum or get all pouty was very becoming, marking her as far more mature than many wolves Hattori had served during his time as a shinobi. But not being one for offering compliments Hattori simply kept this to himself, as always. But that left a gap, a space in the air between them that ought to be filled. He didn't know what to say so he simply settled for a decent, respectable dip of his head. Acknowledgement that her words rang true but he served her nonetheless. It was all he could offer but it was enough, it had to be.
