Káti moved over to his travois and took out a deer hide bundle that contained two ceramic bowls. He took them out and then measured out an ounce of the leaves into one bowl and an ounce into the other. Picking up a piece of deer antler he pushed the flat end down onto the herbs to bruise them. Káti set the bone down as he pondered Halla's question. "I think it was always of interest to me and it was fairly easy for me to learn. I like hunting but I'm not very good at it. I was trained as a warrior though. That was what was expected of my gender and station but…" He shrugged. "I wouldn't exactly say it was my calling." He was a decent fighter and he did appreciate the skills he'd been taught. They had their uses but he wanted to be more than just muscle in a pack.
