Halla slinked along the edges of the prairie as a blanket of silver clouds stretched across the sky. In the distance she could hear the thundering crack of bison colliding their heads together. The sound lured her closer, curious to see if there were any injuries she and her hunting partner could take advantage of though it was a curious sound. It wasn't breeding season as far as she knew. So what was the cause of this dispute. She settled a fair distance away but not so far she couldn't watch what was going on. There was an older bull and a younger one, posturing and snorting before running into each other. This time the young bull went down hard. Some sort of pecking order dispute perhaps?
