Her head found his neck and she settled within the embrace as he did the same. She'd spent so much of her time running, and quiet moments like this were rarely untainted by restlessness. But the comfort of the familiar (though not too familiar given that this was their third interaction and second sober) drew her in and she reveled in it like she was sinking into deep waters, and this was the last time she'd be able to fill her lungs with oxygen. The last chance for simplicity.
She laughed sadly at his last question. "No one you can bite." She responded vaguely. It wasn't like she could make it any clearer, she had no idea what resided in that swamp and she frankly didn't want to know anymore. "I guess it's difficult, to find something new. Overwhelming." She said, gently unraveling herself from the hug. She tried to guess where his face would be, so she could attempt to look him in the eyes."Start with the basics. What do you like to do?"
