Indigo was very much aware of how nervous and scared Rue was going to be at this meeting, and true to his prediction she approached the pair of them timidly. Indy watched his adopted grandmother closely. He was supportive of his friend though and with a dark muzzle he gently nudged her shoulder and leaned against her. Resin seemed suspicious, and questioned him silently as she laid out the rules for the little deer-like girl.
”She’s never been in a pack before,” he explained softly as he nudged her encouragingly with his shoulder. ”I’ll teach her.” Indigo promised as he looked down at her with bright blue eyes. He wasn’t lying when he said that Rue was a distraction and she would be his project. Indigo would protect her and shelter her until she could accept that the pack wasn’t interested in harming her. She would be safe and protected here and he hoped he would see her flourish in the coming seasons. It was something to look forward to and work towards as he tried to keep Aslatiel from his mind.
