Thalia

While just beginning to settle in to her life in Abaven - as temporary as it might be, Thalia had no idea yet - she didn't expect to hear from a family member so soon. Almost as soon as Fel called for her, Thalia felt her blood run cold. She hadn't been gone for long, and as far as she was concerned no news was good news. Nothing in Fel's voice, as it rang out clearly across Abaven's lands, was comforting to her. Something was wrong - very wrong - and she didn't hesitate to respond to her. A brisk walk quickly transformed into a full-blown sprint as she barrelled toward Fel, nearly slipping as she passed one particularly damp section of land by the rapids where the water curved and sprayed far into the land.
She quickly regained her upright position and eventually made it to Fel. By the time she reached her kin, her chest was heaving from the somewhat frantic run and her heart was pounding a loud echo inside her head. Something was wrong - she already knew that. She just didn't know what. "Fel," she started, making no effort to conceal how quickly she'd made her way here. Thalia was normally well-composed even in front of her family, but something about this moment and the circumstances surrounding it made it difficult to muster up the will to care. Her brows furrowed tightly as she studied her face, as if somehow she could find a sign of why she was here without having to outright ask.
