Deus' energy was running low, though his adrenaline was enough to keep him on his paws to help save the life of the poor fox who'd stumbled in. While he'd asked her to run she'd stepped back to her attacker once more, and Deus shot forward snarling and snapping to try and intimidate the bear further. The fox's teeth raked across it's face and the bear roared and stumbled. Deus launched himself to it's side and bit against the blinded bear's ribs, further convincing it that this meal was too much to risk. It swiped out blindly, missing the pup, and he backed up to allow it to flee. He watched as it stumbled away and then let out a large bellowing sigh before turning to the fox. "Are you okay? Abraxas was on our side today, thank God." A pup his age shouldn't be taking on a bear, that much he knew. If Abraxas had wanted him to die for allowing Aureus' life to end, he hadn't wanted it to be at the paws of a bear.
