Azaric family outing!

He had been dying to be let out of the den for what felt like ages to his puppy sense of time and now that it was finally here he was getting increasingly impatient. He had been nosing at the fur that covered the entrance and trying to peek outside all morning just to be ushered away by his parents. Now he fidgeted anxiously while his father gave them one last warning to follow the rules and a reminder to have fun. As soon as the pathway to the outside was opened up for them, he ran outside, glancing back over his shoulder to watch his other siblings follow him out. Jane was fine, immediately finding some kind of bug to make friends with and Eve seemed fine even though she was bothered by said bug. Emile had seemed just as eager as he had been to get out, but after their dad cleared the way for them his brother's tune seemed to change.
Ezra shrugged and trotted off on his own, moving away from where the other three were gathered around the bug, lingering near by just long enough to hear their mother tell them it was called a beetle. He didn't wander off far enough for him to get in trouble since he could still see his parents from where he was standing, but there seemed to be far more interesting things to explore than just a bug. He went to one of the near by trees, following the sound of chittering and squeaking till he was able to turn his gaze upward and spot the fluffy, fat squirrel that was peering down at him from a tree branch. His ears perked with interest and he was about to yell back for his dad to come look when the rodent dropped a nut on his head and it hit his forehead with a soft thump. "Ow!" he called out in response, his look of curiosity quickly changing to one of irritation and annoyance as he glared up at the creature.
