Her voice and expression was careful to leak only curiosity and none of the confusion she felt. Yurei was clearly skittish by nature and if she felt judged she’d likely take off.

“Forgive my curiosity. We just don’t have anything like that where I’m from. My name is Ellery Hervok, it’s a pleasure to meet you Miss. Yurei,” she greeted, offering a small reassuring grin.
