Rudy wasn’t prepared at all for the leg to come in front of his face but his thought had been to bite at Art and with that paw in his path Rudy did indeed sink his deadly puppy teeth into it, mind trying to figure out the logic of this but he couldn’t invest much serious thought into it while in the middle of combat so the answer eluded him until Art’s weight knocked him down.  It had happened so fast Rudy’s mind had to catch up even as he tried to get up but found Art’s heavier weight had him pinned.

Rudy had lost.

The loss was only irritating for a second as he acknowledged it also meant his brother and best friend had won.  It wasn’t so bad if it was Art who had beat him.  Rudy snapped lightly at his brother’s fur, not a fighting move just a reminder of being pinned.  “ok, ok you won.  Lemme up, you’re heavy.” Rudy’s back paws kicked with no real strength to him, that light meant more to remind him to move than trying to actually force his brother off him. “That was a pretty cool trick,” Rudy admitted.  It had to be a cool trick to beat Rudy, right?
