Malachai hardly had any chance to process that he was about to face down the whole group as a whole, a free-for-all before chaos erupted. The girl he'd taken the stick from earlier, Gossamer suddenly bound towards him, her teeth bared and he reared back, her teeth still managing to snag at his cheek skin, though. He wrinkled his nose and struggled to pull himself free, his weight shifting backward, hoping to rise onto his hind paws if he managed to get free, his forelegs flailing as he did so, not really aiming for any particular part of Gossamer, but simply hoping to hit her in some way, maybe even tag-teaming her with the purple boy that had launched himself at her rump.
