China Grove

Gossamer trotted along after Ásta with a fresh marshmallow plant hanging from her jaws. She'd gone on a quick trip with her companion to gather marshmallow root for a lesson in making tinctures. As it was more than a territory over she had Natha as another escort. The cat was currently up in the trees in exploring while the duo set up to do some crafting on the largest of the mangrove islands.

Ásta had a fire going and had set out a few ceramic bowls by the time Gossamer returned triumphantly and placed the marshmallow plant at her feet. "Found it, I found it right?" Ásta grinned and nodded. "You did, good job! Ok, first I'll have you separate the root from the rest of the plant. Go ahead and rinse it in the water when you're finished."

Gossamer nodded and picked up the plant by the stem. She trotted over to the edge of the island and dipped the root in the water, swishing it around to clean the dirt off it. Once that was done she moved back to where her companion was and chewed the stem off so that she was left with the root.
