The boy confirmed that he was indeed there for the empire training. She snorted at his comment. "You bet. I'm as good as any fighter here." Her bravado hid her concern. She really didn't want to let her parents down in front of the other packs. Maybe she should focus more on her fight skills after she finished the lesson on moss and poultices.

Ásta unrolled a piece of rawhide for a work surface. "Ok, separate the moss into their clumps and then use your paws to start squeezing some of the water out. It will help speed up the drying time." Gossamer nodded. "Ok."

She stared untangling the clumps of moss and setting them down on the piece of rawhide. Once that was done she used her paws to push at the moss, slowly squeezing water out of the tiny plants. When she got as much as she could she moved the clumps to another piece of hide while Ásta drained the first one.
