Eyes fixed and intent on the den he was making his way back to, Fidelias hadn't been paying much attention to his surroundings, so the voice that called out to him startled him as much as the lizard had. He stopped mid-stride, head turning so fast to track the call that he nearly overbalanced before he caught himself. He stared warily at the woman who'd called for a moment, frozen in place as his gaze flicked over her and then down to his paws. He carefully set the mangled carcass there, then lifted his head again, though his gaze didn't really meet the stranger's, but tracked lower, somewhere between her chin and the air over her left shoulder. "I don't know what it is," he admitted, his voice soft and... while not uncertain, shyness robbed his voice of inflection and left it a little flat. "I hunted it."
