Rudy’s ears were flat, his tail out to help with fast movements, and had low for neck protection.  All these things were ticked off in his mind.  She was coming in for the attack and he moved forward to intercept.  He hadn’t expected her to move to the right and so she succeeded in biting his armpit.  That had hurt!

Rudy twisted his body around in a circling motion, both to try and make it harder for her to try and keep a grip and so that he could reach out and sink his teeth into her back leg and pull on it.  Would any of this make her lose balance or at least let go?  He had never found himself in this position before which could make it a really good idea or a bad one.
