Pidge had finally quit grumbling, just hunched on Torrent's shoulders in a fuzzy ball of disgruntled raccoon. Torrent wouldn't have cared if she was still grouching, though, the tall rangy fighter noticeably more relaxed as she stalked through the grassland seeking another fight. Relaxed being relative - compared to most she still moved with the wary elegance of a wild creature, as though each motion was only one step removed from violence. But her expression was remote now, cool as marble rather than eaten up by a restless fury. She paused in her stride, poised there like an ancient greek statue as she tracked the motion of someone's approach.
