Thankfully for Kotori he had also had a fight on his mind so his body was already balanced decently well, and ears flattened simply due to being pissed.  He’d love to say it was set for planned defense, it was really just a pissed off pup’s luck.  Sometimes luck was good enough and so it worked.

 Still, the other pup got the first move and no one had ever started a fight going for his jaw before!  Kotori kept his balance but the other pup had his jaw in his mouth.  Kotori raised up on his hind legs just a bit to add some height hoping to either get the pup to let go but even more swinging a paw up aiming to slash at the other pup’s eyes if he could reach it, but his muzzle certainly would work. Vicious snarls coming from the back of his throat in agitation.
