You Talkin' To Me?
Caelia

The smell of blood lay heavy on the air, a brief gust of wind bringing the stench straight to Caelia's nose as she finished the long trek across the sand dunes toward the valley. This place had been a good reprieve for her lately, allowing herself some moments to herself as she explored the intricacies of the winding valley, a little home away from home. But today something else piqued her interest, and she trailed after the scent, only pausing when she got a better look at the scene.
Everything happened quickly. She saw the flash of a wolf charging something, but unfortunately it wasn't the only predator on the horizon. In a flash another creature - a feline, she deduced - was lunging toward it as well. The possibility of a meal was suddenly tempting, and despite her time away from home she felt a pang of misplaced loneliness that made her want to help this stranger. If not for her own sake, for a bit of conversation, and maybe the thrill of a good fight would help remind her that she wasn't just alive, but still living.
Thinking fast, she decided to act. Springing down from the hill she'd been perched upon, she made a mad dash for the lioness, aiming to fling herself onto its back. Probably not the most ideal move for a wolf, but Caelia hoped she could get a hold on the scruff behind its neck and help Chimera get a better hold on her. She and Cairo had taken down a lion bigger than this one once before, so surely she could handle this one, right? She didn't dare remember how she'd been pretty sure that lion's death had been sheer luck, with skill playing a much smaller role.
