Hattori watched her work, only blinking when it was to his satisfaction. The last thing he wanted was for the wire to slip and fail at the last moment, and so  he approached the wire and gave it a gentle tug with his paw. It remained straight and taut, bouncing a little but otherwise remaining in place. He then turned to his temporary hunting companion and grunted in acknowldgement as she introduced herself, they could talk later, for now he wanted to get back to business.

"We will chase the prey towards the trip wire. Should this go according to plan they catch their leg on the wire, making it easy to deliver the killing blow. Now come, I saw some hoof prints this way." He stepped forth, gesturing for Aslaug to follow with a curt flick of his tail.

Retracing his steps, it took longer than Hattori anticipated to find the tracks he'd passed by earlier. They were large and set fairly wide apart, belonging to a boar from the looks of it. Hattori let out a bark, grabbing Aslaug's attention as he pushed his way through the shrubbery. This was the boring part of the hunt but a mandatory one, if they rushed in and didn't position themselves right the wouldn't be able to drive the hog towards their trap. Slow and steady won the race.
