bringing home the ham

The pair ran, sandwiching the boar in from either side as they steered it towards the pair of trees. The hog didn't seem overly impressed, snorting and grunting as it ran, waving its tusks threateningly as though that would be enough to keep them at bay. Hattori sensed that the boar didn't seem overly concerned, that it was only running because it was the natural thing to do, like it knew two wolves couldn't bring it down. It was right, or at least it would have been usually. Paws and hooves thudded against the earth and as they narrowed in on their trap Hattori skidded to a stop, kicking up dirt as he watched the boar fling itself into the wire. It's front legs caught right on it the snapping of bone filled the air. The hog had barely just landed on the earth and Hattori was already upon the beast, his teeth ripping into flesh as it squeaked and squealed, no doubt in complete and utter shock at what had happened.
