Kill It!

This had been his fault. One little misstep had pushed all of the pieces into play and now here he was, facing off against a bear. The wolf that he'd been hunting with was dead. His body lay broken and bloodied beneath the paws of the giant grizzly. It would have been easy to turn and flee, but that wasn't the kind of wolf Chimera was. Battle was in his blood. Rage fueled his every action.

The pair stared each other down, neither wanting to be the one to make the first move until they had time to learn the opponent. Eventually, Chimera's lips peeled back and he snarled low. That was all that the bear needed. Pushing off of the corpse, it rushed the black and white young wolf. Chimera was faster. He darted to the side, teeth sinking into the bears hind leg. The creature groaned and turned, swiping out with one giant paw. It clipped Chimera's hip and he went skittering away. He tried to quickly regain his balance before the bear could smash him into the ground.
